Major investment bank chooses Ibas to catalogue historical data.
After signing a prestigious contract worth NOK 5.5 million with a major investment bank, Ibas will undertake cataloguing of some 40,000 tapes containing historically important data.
“Global financial institutions are giving highest priority to the securing
of their historical records, including financial trading and other key
business critical data.” “Such contracts are important for Ibas as it is an
area of rapidly emerging business,” says Bjørn Arne Skogstad, President and
CEO of Ibas “Our experience is that customers find they do not have the resources or complex software tools to be able to catalogue, de-duplicate or search through large quantities of data. Businesses asked to disclose such specific data are turning to companies like Ibas to meet these difficult challenges.” says Mr. Skogstad.
“Ibas owned Vogon International signed the contract and will be completing the work over the next six months. This follows several other large Vogon contracts completed within our Electronic Disclosure (eDisclosure) service offerings,” ends Mr. Skogstad.
